Deja Groove was invited to perform at the Saving Grace Philo Ball and Fundraiser, held on October 3rd at the Hilton Philadelphia Hotel. Celebrating it’s 159th year, the ball featured a silent auction which benefitted Drexel Neumann Academy and the Philopatrian Scholarship Foundation.

The Philopatrian Scholarship Foundation was created by the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute upon its 100th Anniversary in 1950. The Foundation has been providing financial assistance since then to students attending local Catholic colleges and universities.

Drexel Neumann Academy, the only Catholic school in the City of Chester, is the result of a unique collaboration among the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia, Neumann University, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Chester. Drexel Neumann Academy opened in September 2007 and offers a quality education and an environment conducive to learning for 210 children, pre-K to 8th grade, who otherwise may not have this opportunity — a safe place to learn in a tough neighborhood. Students are encouraged to live the Gospel message by being caring and compassionate to each other and by reaching out in service to others. For them, Drexel Neumann Academy is a “saving grace.”
